2008-2009 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating

The 2008-2009 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating will be the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series of the 2008-2009 season. It will be a series of international invitational competitions in the first half of the figure skating season. Skaters will compete in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies singles, pairs, and ice dancing over six events. Skaters will earn a certain amount of points per placement. The top six scoring skaters or teams at the end of the series will compete in the 2008-2009 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, held in Seoul, South Korea.

The Grand Prix series will set the stage for the 2009 European Figure Skating Championships, the 2009 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, the 2009 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, and the 2009 World Figure Skating Championships, as well as each country's national championships. The Grand Prix series will begin on October 23, 2008 and will end on December 14, 2008.

The Grand Prix is organized by the International Skating Union. Skaters compete for prize money and for a chance to compete in the Grand Prix Final. The corresponding series for Junior-level skaters is the 2008-2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix.
