nextgp=The 2008-2009 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final will be the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final competition of the 2008-2009 figure skating season. It will be the culminating competition of the 2008-2009 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition. The six highest ranking skaters/teams from the Grand Prix series will meet at the Grand Prix Final.
In 2008, the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final will be held in Seoul, from December 10th through 14th. It will be organized by the Korea Skating Union. Medals will be awarded in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. For the first time, the Junior Grand Prix Final will be held at the same time as the senior Grand Prix Final.
Unlike the other events in the series, there will be no compulsory dance portion of the competition. Ice dancers will be ranked in the original dance starting order in reverse order of their qualification to the Final.
