Akmal Khan

Akmal Khan, (famously known as Akmal) was a Pakistani film actor and singer. He was born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Akmal was younger brother of famous character actor "Ajmal", His real name was "Asif Khan" but he changed his name to that of his younger brother Akmal.

Akmal mostly work in Punjabi language films. He was the second super star of Punjabi films after Sudhir. He started his film career as a "makeup artist" and appeared as an "extra actor" in "Mehbooba", "Qatil" and "Dulla Bhatti". In 1956 "Jabroo" was his first film as hero. but his first successful film is "Choorian" released in 1963. His mega hit film "Malangi" (1965) was a peak point of his film career. He appeared as villain in "Baghawat" (1960).

Akmal work in more than sixty films, his last film was "Bahadur Kisan". Akmal was died on June 11, 1967 made him an unforgettable film character in Pakistani Punjabi films.
