Thomas J. Basile (born 1975) is a New York public relations executive, political strategist, and commentator, perhaps best known for his media and communications work in connection with the
Coalition Provisional Authority inIraq under AmbassadorL. Paul Bremer III . He regularly comments on topical subjects, such as: Iraq, theWar on Terrorism , the environment, and the national political scene. Basile is a well-known speaker, lecturer, and contributor to both television and radio.Basile, a former Director of Communications for the EPA, recently co-founded the Middleberg Sustainability Group to help companies develop authentic strategies and promote eco-smart products and practices to media and target audiences. He is also founder and principal of Empire Solutions.
Basile is an adjunct professor at the
Fordham University Graduate School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and an Advisory Board member of theHofstra University School of Liberal Arts and Sciences.In 1997 he ran unsuccessfully for Supervisor of the Town of
Clarkstown, NY . At age 22, he became the youngest candidate for executive office in New York’s lowerHudson Valley .Basile has been involved in national, state and local campaigns for more than a decade. He served as a consultant to the
Republican National Committee during the2004 U.S. Presidential Election cycle and is an alumnus of the Bush-Cheney 2000 campaign. He has planned high-profile media events for three US Presidents and other public officials.He received his
