Bill Bradford

Bill Bradford

:"For other uses, see William Bradford".

William D. Bradford (August 28, 1921 - August 22, 2000) was a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played briefly for the Kansas City Athletics during the 1956 season. Listed at 6' 2", 180 lb., Bradford batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Choctaw, Arkansas.

Bradford was a major league player whose career, statistically speaking, was only slightly different than that of Eddie Gaedel or Moonlight Graham.

On April 24, 1956, Bradford debuted with the Athletics in the eight inning of a game against Detroit. In two innings of work, he allowed two runs on two hits with a walk and no strikeouts, and never appeared in a major league game again.

Bradford died in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas at age 78.
