- Howard S. Sheehy, Jr.
Howard Sherman ("Bud") Sheehy, Jr. was a member of the First Presidency of the
Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (RLDS Church) from 1978 to 2000. Sheehy was also an apostle and a member of the church's Council of Twelve Apostles from 1968 to 1980.Sheehy was born in
Denver ,Colorado and became a full-time minister of the RLDS Church in 1960. On1 April 1968 , church presidentW. Wallace Smith selected Sheehy as a member of the church's Council of Twelve Apostles. 15 April 1996 , when Smith retired as church president and was succeeded byW. Grant McMurray , Sheehy was retained by McMurray as a counselor in the First Presidency. Sheehy was a member of the First Presidency that made the decision to change the name of the church toCommunity of Christ in 2000.Sheehy retired from full-time church service in 2000 and was replaced in the First Presidency by
