Ráfaga is one of the most important bands within the
Argentine cumbia . Formed in1994 , they started playing in Argentinecumbia clubs and quickly gained popularity.The band characterises by medieval outfits and
jewelry , sometimes becoming close to an image that can be described like aLiberace style.In
1997 and1998 they participated in the "Midem Latino de Musica" inMiami , which gave them a certain international reputation, taking their music to other countries such asChile ,Uruguay ,Paraguay ,Bolivia ,Peru , and even toSpain at the end of1999 . In2001 they went on aNorth America n tour toCanada , then to New York, Washington and Miami.They continued touring, with concerts in other countries such as
Romania (where "La luna y tú" was used for a commercial),Sweden ,Norway ,Switzerland ,China andAustralia .Band members
