John Cox Edghill

Rev. John Cox Edghill D.D. (1835 [cite book | title = Distinguished Churchmen | page = | author = Charles H. Dant ] - ) was a British Anglican priest, senior chaplain at Aldershot, chaplain to the forces at Portsmouth (1881-5), and Chaplain-General to Her Majesty's Forces (1885-1901).

As a noted Tractarian and Anglo-Catholic, he was the first choice to replace Hibbert Binney as the bishop of Nova Scotia by the Synod of the diocese, at Halifax, June 6, 1887.
