United States Warfighter Association

United States Warfighter Association is a 501(c)3 non profit project hosted by Oceans of Opportunity.

The United States Warfighter Association was formed in 2008 to enhance the GWOT warfighter community
*"Mentorship" Is the primary activity of the organization. Mentorship is based on preparing young warfighters for combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. The founder of the organization has extensive experience as a Navy SEAL and also around the world expeditions with Sir Peter Blake and the Cousteau Society. The SOCOM experience and expedition experience of the founders gives a unique capability to instruct military tactics with cultural sensitivity. The US-WA Mobile Mentor Team travels throughout every military installation training young soldiers primarily with language and culture skills for select Areas of Operations. This training helps both the individual warfighter and civilians stay safe with clear communications.
*"Scholarship" Is another function of the organization. It is aimed at providing educational grants to relatives of warfighters killed in action or wounded in action
*"Family assistance" Is the third function of the organization. The US-WA offers emergency bill pay services for Warfighters while they are deployed overseas.

The US-WA offers membership privileges to all GWOT veterans which includes active expeditions around the world. The first expedition for the association is 'Dive For A Cure' Bahamas Blue Hole cave diving in search of undocumented species of undersea life.
