Pat Dapuzzo

Pat Dapuzzo (born December 29, 1958 in Hoboken, New Jersey) was a National Hockey League linesman, who wore uniform number 60. [http://www.nhlofficials.com/member_listing.asp?member_id=2095 Pat Dapuzzo's profile at NHLOfficials.com] His officiating career began in the 1984-85 NHL season and he retired after the 2007-08 NHL season, where in his last season during a game on February 9, 2008, an ice skate from Steve Downie accidentally struck him in the face and suffered a severe injury to the face. The contact of where the skate was hit, would not have been prevented even if Dapuzzo wore a visor. The injury needed 40 stitches to close the wound.
