- John Richard Allan Llewellin
John Richard Allan LLewellin was an Anglican Suffragan Bishop in the latter decades of the 20th century. Born on 30 September 1938, he was educated at Clifton College, Bristol [ “Who was Who” 1897-2007 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 9780199540877 ] and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. Ordained in 1964, after a Curacy at Radlett he rose rapidly in the Church hierarchy being successively Vicar of Waltham Cross, Rector of Harpenden [ Crockford's clerical directory, London, Church House 1995 ISBN 0715180886] and a Canon of Truro Cathedral before ascending to the Episcopate where he served firstly at St Germans (1985-92) and subsequently Dover (1992-99). In retirement he was appointed an honorary Fellow of Canterbury Christ Church University [ [http://www.canterbury.ac.uk/support/resources/graduation/cathedral/fellows/fellows00.asp Fellows of CCCU] ] .
