S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. (中僑互助會), founded in 1973, is a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-religious Canadian organization. Its main goals are to provide immigration services, job skills development, and counselling for immigrants and citizens of the Lower Mainland.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is an acronym for "Sino United Chinese Community Enrichment Social Service".

Organizational structure

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is an organization with eleven offices, service and training centres. The head office is located on West Pender Street, in Vancouver's Chinatown.

The chairman is Kenneth Tung. Chief executive officer Lilian To died suddenly of a heart attack on July 2, 2005. Tung Chan was named new CEO on June 12, 2006.

Funding

About 35% of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.' revenue comes from its own fundraising programs. About another 1% comes from United Way, an affiliated non-profit organization. The remainder of the revenue comes from federal, provincial, and municipal government grants. (2003-2004 fiscal year)

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. offers services and programs in:

* Counselling

* Children and Youth
* Women
* Seniors
* Volunteer Development
* Language and Employment Training
* Employment
* Business Development and Training
* Seniors Care Home
* Adult Day centre
* Health and Wellness Education

Their services are used mainly by East Asian immigrants.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. does not serve people who:
* are not living in the Lower Mainland
* are not immigrating to the Lower Mainland
