Format
In this round, the group winners and runner-ups from the Third Round will form one double-round-robin, home-and-away group. The top three teams will qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The fourth place team will compete in a home-and-away playoff against the fifth-place team from CONMEBOL.
