County Leitrim , Ireland at the head ofLough Melvin . It is situated about 2 miles fromBundoran ,County Donegal , about 13 miles fromManorhamilton .Amenities
Lough Melvin is famous for it's fishing. The lake runs from Kinlough to Garrison which is in
County Fermanagh . The first salmon of the year has often been caught on the river Drowes which runs from the lake.Education
The Four Masters School, is the village primary school [http://homepage.eircom.net/~fmasters/index.html] ; it's named after The
Annals of the Four Masters , historical writings produced by famous Irish historians of the early 17th century. The school has 145 pupils and 6 teachers.Tectonic Activity
As of June 2007 Kinlough has not been subjected to any tectonic activity but a large fissure has begun to appear in the Latin Quarter of the town which has led many locals, and indeed seismologists, to belive that within the next decade Kinlough will slowly disappear due to the increasing size of the fissure. The fissure is known locally as The Big Fissure or Fissy.
