History

The church was finished in 1768 from endowment of earl Štefan II. Koháry (1649-1731). Ignác II. Koháry began to engineer .(1726-1777).

5.4.1883 broken out in the village great fire. Wasted nearly all village. The church was damaged too. It was repaired in 1906.

It was initially sacrificed to St. StephenUgrian king. In 1964 it was consecrated and patricinium was commuted to Septemsuffering Virgin Mary.

Style and interior

The church is built in Romanesque style, it is single-nave and it has plane loft.

A picture of St. Stephen is from master Vojtech Klimkovics from year 1855. There is astistically carved bench of Bulgarian king Ferdinand Coburg in presbytery. Style of bench is neo-ghotic. It has 7 fields for 7 person. Over interior field is placed a sign fo family Coburg. An altar is from beginning of 20th century. It is fancy with statuary of St. Elizabeth Ugrian and of St. Imrich.

The church has old-christian heading in area. A tower is on west side of church, main altar is on east side. On choir is duomanual organ of Mark Rieger. The organ donated about 1910 Ferdinand Coburg.
