- Jim Picka
Jim Picka was born on
March 24 ,1947 . He attended Parkville High School until he left forHigh Point University . Once there he averaged 17 points a game and 11 rebounds as the starting center for the Panthers over the course of his career. In his senior season he averaged 27 points a game and 18 rebounds a game. He was drafted in the 10th round of the1969 NBA Draft by theBoston Celtics . He was assigned to play for the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Celtics. He retired a week later, due to an ankle injury. Some of his career highlights include beating an undefeated Winston-Salem State team led by future Hall-of-FamerEarl Monroe and his career best, scoring 32 points. He currently resides inCockeysville, Maryland .
