Tay Wilson

Tay Wilson

Tennant Edward (Tay) Wilson, DCNZM, OBE, was the ninth member of the International Olympic Committee from New Zealand, from 1988 to 2006, and is now an honorary member.

He was born in Fielding, New Zealand on 3 February 1925, and was a rower, and a chartered accountant in Lower Hutt. He replaced Lance Cross on the IOC in 1988.

He was awarded the O.B.E., and was made a Distinguished Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (D.C.N.Z.M.) for services to the Olympic and Commonwealth Games in the 2007 New Years Honours List.
