Xiang Shengmo

Xiang Shengmo

Xiang Shengmo (Chinese: 项圣谟; 1597-1658), a native Xiushui (now Jiaxing), Zhejiang Province, is a noted Chinese painter in the Ming Dynasty.

His style name was 'Kongzhang' and his sobriquet was 'Yi'an'cite web|url=http://www.china-on-site.com/pages/painter/1072.php|title=Xiang Shengmo Brief Biography|accessdate=2008-09-16] . He was the grandson of the great painting-collector Xiang Yuandian. Xiang's painting followed the style of Wen Zhengming. Xiang specialized in landscapes and flowers with an elegant taste.
