In 1922 he joined the German Navy. When
Karl Jesko von Puttkamer , Hitler'sliaison officer to the Navy, was transferred to active service on19 June , 1938 Albrecht took over until30 June , 1939 when it was found out that he had married a woman "with a past" and the Commander of the Navy GrossadmiralErich Raeder wanted him transferred toTokyo as amilitary attaché or wanted him kicked out of the Navy completely, something Hitler was against. So Hitler appointed Albrecht as NSKK-Oberfuhrer and made him one of hisadjutant s. Hitler had a two hour argument with Raeder and this was something Raeder never forgot. Hitler went on to meet Albrecht's wife and liked her and couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Under ReichsleiterPhilipp Bouhler , Albrecht remained on Hitler's and was last seen defending Hitler's bunker with a machine gun.References
