Alwin-Broder Albrecht

Alwin-Broder Albrecht (born September 18, 1903 in St. Peter – died May 1, 1945) was a German naval officer who was one of Adolf Hitler's adjutants during World War II.

Biography

In 1922 he joined the German Navy. When Karl Jesko von Puttkamer, Hitler's liaison officer to the Navy, was transferred to active service on 19 June, 1938 Albrecht took over until 30 June, 1939 when it was found out that he had married a woman "with a past" and the Commander of the Navy Grossadmiral Erich Raeder wanted him transferred to Tokyo as a military attaché or wanted him kicked out of the Navy completely, something Hitler was against. So Hitler appointed Albrecht as NSKK-Oberfuhrer and made him one of his adjutants. Hitler had a two hour argument with Raeder and this was something Raeder never forgot. Hitler went on to meet Albrecht's wife and liked her and couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Under Reichsleiter Philipp Bouhler, Albrecht remained on Hitler's and was last seen defending Hitler's bunker with a machine gun.
