William Quinlan Lash

William Quinlan Lash was the Bishop of Bombay from 1947 until 1961 [ "The beginning and end of “religion”" Lash,N Cambridge CUP 1996 ISBN I0521566355 The author is the nephew of Bishop Lash] . He was born on 5 February 1905 and educated at Tonbridge School and Emmanuel College, Cambridge ["Who was Who" 1897-1990 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 071363457X] . Ordained in 1929 his first post was as Curate at St Mary’s Portsea. until his death in 1986.
