Secretary of the Navy (Mexico)

In Mexico, the Secretary of the Navy ("Secretario de Marina") is a member of the federal executive cabinet with responsibility for managing the country's navy. The secretary is appointed by the President of the Republic and heads the Secretariat of the Navy ("Secretaría de Marina" or "SEMAR"). The current Secretary of the Navy is Mariano Francisco Saynez Mendoza.
