Orion and Linda in March 2008Background information Origin New York City Genres Pop Years active 2005–present Website Official website Members Orion Simprini, Linda Horwatt, Reef Roxx, Chris Lucas, Jon Weber The Orion Experience is a New York City-based pop band led by singer Orion Simprini. The band's music is on MTV's soundtrack to Laguna Beach and several tracks from their 2007 release, Cosmicandy, were included in Zoey 101: Chasing Zoey. The band performed at Fearless Music in early 2007. Perez Hilton says the band's biggest single, "Obsessed With You" is a "double yum ... indie pop gem."[1]
Their 2008 release, Heartbreaker, was an EP produced by Maroon 5 producer Jon Kaplan.[2][3]
NYC Girl, a five-track EP containing the tracks "Vampire"[4] and "NYC Girl", will be released on April 19, 2011.[5] USA Today describes the string-infused disco-pop title track as reminiscent of 1970s era Electric Light Orchestra.[6]
