Élan Luz Rivera is a Puerto Rican and African American Latin Hip hop singer who debuted in 2005 as one of the singers in the band The D.E.Y.

Background

Rivera was born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York City. She attended LaGuardia High School for Music and Art and Performing Arts (The "Fame" School). After joining the cast of The Capeman, she left LaGuardia and attended home school. She made her first appearance on Broadway as Cookie in the musical play "The Capeman" from 29 January to 28 March, 1998 at the Marquis Theatre in New Yorkcite web
