The tournament previously consisted of eight teams, with two double-elimination brackets, and a single-game final. As of 2010, the tournament format has been changed to six teams made up of two, three-team pods, and the team with the best record in each pod moves on to the final. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
