Motera is a census town in Gandhinagar district in the Indian state of Gujarat. The Sardar Patel Stadium is located in Motera. This stadium is the venue for international cricket matches. From 19 January 2008 it is the part of Ahmedabad city under Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Motera had a population of 21,150. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Motera has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 67%. In Motera, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Famous Vishvakarma Temple is situated in Motera.
