Fjerritslev is a town in
Jammerbugt municipality ,Region Nordjylland inDenmark .Until
January 1 ,2007 , Fjerritslev was also a municipality (Danish, "kommune") inNorth Jutland County . The municipality covered an area of 290 km², and had a total population of 8,480 (2005). Its last mayor was Otto Kjær Larsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party.Fjerritslev municipality ceased to exist as the result of "Kommunalreformen" ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with
Brovst ,Pandrup , andAabybro municipalities to form the new Jammerbugt municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 863 km² and a total population of 38,864 (2005).External links
