Association of African Universities , based inAccra, Ghana , promotes cooperation among its members and gathers information relating to high education in the continent.* The
African Virtual University , based atKenyatta University ,Nairobi ,Kenya , was originally a project of theWorld Bank but has grown to become an independent intergovernmental organization with more than 34 Learning Centers in 19 different countries.* Euclid University, now an agency of the International Organization for Sustainable Development, was started as the distance learning extension of the University of Bangui (Central African Republic). It offers resident credit programs in Brussels (Belgium), in partnership with the Université Libre Internationale.
