Air Minas Linhas Aéreas is an airline based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It operates passenger services from Belo Horizonte to destinations in the states of Minas Gerais and Mato Grossocite news | title= Directory: World Airlines | work= Flight International | page= 63 | date= 2007-03-27] .

History

The airline was established in 2002 and started operations in September 2003. It was wholly owned by Clesio Andrade, a businessman from "Confederação Nacional dos Transportes" (CNT). The company was bought by Urubatan Helou, president (CEO), for U$10 million at the end of 2005, who has other transport interests including Brazil's largest long-distance bus company (Braspress Transportes Urgentes).

Destinations

Started the operation in August with regular flights between the cities Belo Horizonte - Intend to flight between São Paulo and Center-West region, to attend at least 13 cities in the axe São Paulo/Minas Gerais.

The small cities in Minas Gerais as Uberlândia, Uberaba,Governador Valadares and Ipatinga also are in the operational plans.

Fleet

As of March 2007 the Air Minas fleet includes :

*4 Embraer EMB 120RT Brasilia

(bought two more in the USA in February 2007 and will start new routes in Mato Grosso state). The company is investing US$ 5 million to add three more Brasilia aircraft for 30 passengers to its fleet, until the end of this year. Fact|date=April 2007
