He is a graduate of the University of Economy of Catania where he studied economy. He also earned a film making Diploma at SAE Institute college of Byron Bay and a Certificate III in film making at the Queensland School of Film and Television (both in Australia).

Biography

Cosentino was born in Siracuse, (Sicily) the August 13 of 1982 but he lived most of all in Gravina di Catania Sicily. After finishing his studies in economics (in Catania), he realized that his true aspiration was film making. He decided to migrate in Australia in march 2007 to study film making. His film making styles has been immediately appreciated even if he failed at his first competition (Tropfest) - [ [http://www.timeoutsydney.com.au/features/the-long-and-short-of-it.aspx Time Out Sydney - The long and short of it ] ] .His frustration brought him to make other short movies and his first victory came with the short movie "I Have Learned" in the Avid Competition held in Asia. After his first victory Cosentino made other short movies arriving at a total of eight shorts in less than 10 months from his first time shooting. His final achievement was the important victory at the Cannes film festival in the short movie competition.

He is the writer, director, cinematographer and editor of all his eight short movies (except in the movie "The Light" where he was not the cinematographer).
