Market is a regularly occurring, nomadic Market that provides the opportunity for entrepreneurs to establish their businesses and to enjoy low barriers for bringing their wares to market in order to create successful businesses built on arts and crafts. The Market is an inclusive happening that welcomes artists or other "makers" in the Pittsburgh region to meet like-minded individuals, to create new opportunities, or to find a receptive environment in which to sell new art.

I Made It! Market began as a solution for the lack of regularly occurring public vending venues for Pittsburgh's vibrant crafting community. Specifically, crafters engaged in the indie-crafts movement. The founders met at a craft fair held in Carnegie Mellon University and decided to launch the project quickly. Three weeks later, May 6, 2007, the first IMI Market took place at the Garfield Artworks on Penn Avenue in the Garfield section of Pittsburgh.
One of the goals of the IMI Market is to bring artists into neighborhoods they might otherwise not visit and to bring the arts to communities who also may not be exposed to this type of Marketplace. Additionally, IMI Market partners with non-profit and community groups with each happening to bring attention to and to help in fundraising efforts for those community groups.
Another overarching goal of the Market is to help create community. Crafting and love of handmade goods is only one tie that brings us together. IMI Market provides the opportunity to engage participants and visitors in arts projects, new friendships, partnerships and more.
Past Partners Include:Braddoc,Steel Valley Arts Council,The Union Project,The Brewhouse Association,Chatham University,The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy

As of May 2008, I Made It! Market has engaged more than 200 Pittsburgh crafters and continues to spread the word and provide opportunities for others.
