List of supernova weapons in science fiction

This is a list of devices or events that triggered a supernova as a weapon in science fiction novels, movies, video games and TV series. All of the devices in the list are technological in nature (i.e. no magic or supernatural causes) and have been used effectively at least once in their respective work.

# In the "Culture" series by Iain M. Banks, Culture ships are capable of inducing stars into supernovae, though exactly how they achieve this is unknown.
# A Doctor Who episode mentions that a alien civilization developed a laser-like weapon that detonates stars, causing them to "go Supernova".
