"Re-bE" is Alexia's comeback album, after a ten year absence from the music scene.

Making of Re-bE

The making of this album has been a wonderous experience, feeding Alexia with nutritious memories of a past, her past, that not only was it Not as hostile and alien as she thought/felt for years, but on the contrary her so rewarding, new, rich in all aspects, present, is this way because of this amazing and so undermined/underestimated by her, past. Éevery time she would forget, a person, or a Music, a letter, a word, a song (judy garland), a kindness, a name, a synchronicity laden moment would in astonishment and at the same time tenderly, find me and remind me of how blessed (douche) were my years passed.

For this she's THANKFUL every day. She has now learned, she know now how to automatically "translate" any experience into melody or word. Alexia had most dexterously hidden (dexterously), useful parts of her, that she had no other alternative then but to hide well. And she did such a good job that she even became oblivious to their forlorn existence. She found them one by one, undusted them, placed them softly on silks and cottons and presented them to her. For the first time, to consciously appreciate/validate/utilize, all that she had in me, all that she is.

"Self in what dark depths of unknown mainlands" excerpt from "Sand and Wind". After realizing that she had the tools, finally out of their boxes, she started flying to create, inspired! Alexia then thought of the people who she felt could understand her Music, so she invited Iosif Kefalas and Fergus Currie to help her with the foundations. With Iosif it was a first but it was easy to sense the common language. With Fergus it was a third, yet again she was certain. They collaborated on a double album, a tribute to one of Greece's greatest composers - Mikis Theodorakis. And so this voyage began. Sails (sails) seemingly white at first, soon after...of all colors imaginable!!! At times this creative process, felt like climbing the highest peaks, feeling effort to take each step the thinning altitude, but also the total exhilaration once you'd finally reach those peaks. Phrases that led to a staircase (alexia in stairs) that led to a plain and uncomfortable void, notes that led to celestial heights, a missing word, or a word that told "it but not quite, an interlude that lured us into gateways of more newness, a word or three that was finally visible (visible), that couldn't or just wouldn't show themselves for years, till they were sure they'd be well protected and mainly, understood. They did want to help her out. They were always there . This process strangely took me to places that have no time, where the past melted into the future which melted into the present, as all are intertwined, but happily. What a place to be! Time stretches till it is no more, simultaneously it is all (time ball).
