map_first =The Sierra de Chuacús is situated in the central highlands of
Guatemala , and runs South-East fromEl Quiché toBaja Verapaz . Its North-Western border is marked by theRío Negro basin in Uspantán, which separates it from theSierra de los Cuchumatanes . Its Eastern border is marked by theSalamá River which separates it from theSierra de Salamá . It's South-Eastern border is defined by the Rió Motagua basin. Its highest peak reaches up to 2504 m.
