Moody has released two studio albums, The Closing Sky (with Stone Ambition, 1995) and Little World (2004), his first solo recording and foray into Country music.
While Moody considers himself a country singer-songwriter, his music "is a fusion of influences that defies categorization as much as it invites it". He and his band have performed with a variety of artists; Top 40 Country's Hot Apple Pie and Danielle Peck, 1980s underground alternative act Mission of Burma and Los Angeles-based, old-school, hip-hop quintet Jurassic 5. Recently, they have been paired with up-and-coming Red Dirt/Texas Music acts, most notably, Eli Young Band and the Bleu Edmondson Band.[1]
His third album, The Mootz Moody Band, was released on August 16, 2008.
