Children of The Sea is a Black Sabbath song from the album Heaven and Hell.It was written by Tony Iommi, with the lyrics by Ronnie James Dio, and was the first songs of Black Sabbath with "Dio".
The lyrics are about the end of the world, and cites the nature as the most mistreated thing. It have some metaphores about the "children" who get lost in the "sea" and throw away their "keys" (with allusions to freedom), and problems with the developing of technology. There are other citations as "Reaching for the stars, we blind the sky", which want to show that humanity is seeking for developing but is getting in a wrong way, without coming back.
The song was played live during the "dio era" and sometimes with Tony Martin.it was played with Rob Halford yet.
