Ketuyu

Ketuyu (可突于 d. 734) was a Khitan military chief, notable for his Ketuyu rebellion.Xu Elina-Qian, p.245-248] Despite the presence of a King, he de facto controled the Khitan political will. His power made the Khitan King jealous, and he then self-defensing himself by making a Coup in 720, against King Suogu. By this action, he raise the the opposition against Tang China, which he defeated several times. He was eventually crushed by Chinese repeatitive campaigns, and was murdered together with King Qulie by his subordonate Li Guozhe.Xu Elina-Qian, p.245-248]
