Sidi Bel Abbas sanctuary arson

Sidi Bel Abbas sanctuary arson

The Sidi Bel Abbas sanctuary arson occurred in April, 2006 in the Spanish exclave of Ceuta.

This structure, built to commemorate 12th-century Muslim saint Sidi Bel Abbas, was burned by unknown parties. This action was widely believed to have been committed as an anti-Muslim act, particularly as several other attacks on Muslim religious centers in Spain occurred in 2005-2006.
