1381 , on Dubravnica River nearParacin in today's southeasternSerbia , between the Serbian forces of nobles Vitomir and Crep Vukoslavic, subjects of prince Lazar of Serbia and the invadingOttoman Turks of sultanMurad I . Battle was the first historical mention of any Ottoman movements into Prince Lazar's territory. After this battle there is no record of any other hostility between Lazar and the Turks until1386 . The Serbian army emerged victorious, although details of the battle itself are sketchy at best. This victory by the Serbians temporarily slowed the Ottoman invasion of the Balkans.See also
