Bridgend railway station ( _cy. Gorsaf Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr) is a mainline railway station serving the town of Bridgend, South Wales. It is located approximately halfway between Cardiff and Swansea at the point where the line to Maesteg diverges from the South Wales Main Line, and is the western terminus of the Vale of Glamorgan Line from Cardiff via Barry and Llantwit Major. It is the fifth busiest station in Wales after Cardiff Central, Cardiff Queen Street, Newport and Swansea

Passenger services are operated by First Great Western (trains to and from London Paddington) and Arriva Trains Wales.

The station has 4 platforms: 1A, 1, 2, and the rarely used platform 3. Platforms 1 and 2 are full length platforms used for almost all services including the Swansea to London high-speed service. Platform 1A was opened in July 2005 by Andrew Davies to act as the terminus for the newly re-opened Vale of Glamorgan Line, it is now also used for the service to Aberdare. Platform 3, long redundant, has been re-commissioned as an overflow platform and is often used for the Bridgend to Maesteg service.
