Ramin Farahmandpur

Dr. Ramin Farahmandpur was born in Iran. He moved to the United States in 1974 and returned back in 1979. In 1984, after he graduated from high school, he left Iran and moved to the United States. He completed his Bachelor's degree in philosophy (1993) and his Masters degree in Social Foundations of Education (1994) from [http://www.calstatela.edu/ California State University, Los Angeles] .

Teaching career

Academic career

Professor Farahmandpur studied and completed his Ph.D. in Curriculum Theory and Teaching Studies from the [http://www.gseis.ucla.edu/ Graduate School of Education and Information Studies] at the [http://www.ucla.edu/ University of California, Los Angeles] . His research focuses on the relationship between schools and society. More specifically, Dr. Farahmandpur's work examines how social, political, economic and cultural forces shape and influence public education.
