Swaminarayan Mandir Vasna Sanstha or SMVS is an organization within the
Swaminarayan Faith which propagates the preaching and teaching ofLord Swaminarayan . [cite web | url=http://www.swaminarayandham.org/grandtradition/index.html | title= Lord Swaminarayan] Anadimukta Guruvarya Devnandandasji Swamishri, respectfully addressed as Bapji by his devotees and followers, is the founder and the mentor of the organization. Multifaceted activities in areas like social, cultural, educational, religious fields are carried out by SMVS under the directions and guidance of Bapji and his second in-command Satyasankalpdasji Swami, who is respectfuly addressed as Swamishri.From a modest beginning in 1987, SMVS has today developed into a multifaceted institution. SMVS has 25 main centers throughout
Gujarat , wherein 50 saints, 45 lady saints, and about 400 front-line devotees and volunteers are entrusted religious duties. Many of their saints and devotees have visitedUnited States ,United Kingdom ,Canada , and other parts of the world to propagate preaching and teaching ofSahajanand Swami and also to monitor construction and expansion of SMVS Swaminarayan temples as well as other related religious and cultural activities such as functioning of medical centers, old age homes, hospitals, and other charities.Aims & Objects
The main goal of the organization is to spread the "Sarvopari Upasna of Swaminarayan Bhagwan" as per Jeevanpran Abjibapashri. The organization believes in serving society through religious and social activities. SMVS is still at an infancy stage, however it has been making rapid strides in building mammoth spiritual, socio-cultural, and educational institutions based on the ideals, teaching, and philosophy of Swaminarayan, Jeevanpran Abjibapashri, [cite web | url=http://www.swaminarayandham.org/grandtradition/index1.html | title = Jeevanpran Abjibapashri] with inspiration from Bapji [cite web | url=http://www.swaminarayandham.org/grandtradition/index4.html | title=H.D.H Bapji] , and under the leadership of Swamishri.
