"Damage Control" is the 24th episode of the second season of the ABC series, Grey's Anatomy. The episode was written by Mimi Schmir and was directed by Tony Goldwyn. It originally aired on May 7, 2006.

Episode recap

A husband, pregnant wife and her parents are involved in a car accident caused by a surgical intern from another hospital, who fell asleep at the wheel. The wife has massive injuries and eventually dies, though Alex performs a caesarean section to save the baby. Derek is angry at Meredith after he sees her at the veterinarian's. Burke is angry at Cristina after she fell asleep during sex the previous night. After Callie spends the night with George, Meredith and Izzie see her leave the bathroom without washing her hands. George does not stand up for Callie to his roommates. He later finds out that Callie did not want to bother them (they were at the sink) and washed her hands in the kitchen downstairs. Denny is becoming angry at being stuck in bed with no end in sight.
