Judicial Council of California

The Judicial Council of California is the rule-making arm of the California court system. [NASD Dispute Resolution, Inc. v. Judicial Council of the State of California] In accordance with the California Constitution and under the leadership of the Chief Justice, the council is responsible for ensuring the "consistent, independent, impartial, and accessible administration of justice". The Judicial Council's staff agency, the Administrative Office of the Courts, is responsible for implementing council policies.
