Wilda Gerideau-Squires

Wilda Gerideau-Squires, born June 21, 1946, is an African-American fine art photographer noted for her distinctive style of photography which includes abstract images created through the interplay of fabric and light, as well as her poignant photographs of women. Her work has been exhibited and received award-winning recognition in the United States and Europe. Her unique abstract techniques have won kudos from art critics and jurors alike, including this from an exhibition jury for the Artrom Gallery [ [http://www.artromgallery.com/] ] in Rome, Italy:

"Wilda’s photographic images isolate details of common forms and exalt them, allowing us to look deeper into them, extracting their nuances, folds, shadows and highlights, making them appear bigger than life.”

Awards
