Biography

Born (August 21, 1977) in Bucharest Romania in a musicians family, he approached the world of sounds at the age of 6. He started to co-operate with the National Radio Orchestra of Romania in 1992. In 1996, he became the second percussionist in George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra.

Performance

Collaborates with The Radio Big Band Orchestra, National Radio Orchestra, performs in jazz clubs and jazz festivals. Touring in Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria as a drummer and percussionist, hired for studio recording sessions (Romanian folk and pop music) live and TV shows.

* 1999 – Jazz Festival Costineşti ’99 Prize Laureate.
* 2000 – leader of Modern Jazz Group (featuring Cristian Soleanu on soprano & tenor sax)
* 2004 – member of Decebal Badila trio
* 2006 – Mamaia 2006 National Pop Festival Prize Laureate TVR Award
* 2006 – co-leader of Joy of Life project (with Decebal Badila and Petrica Andrei)
* 2007 - First Prize for the best Jazz CD of 2006
* since 2004 - Professor at National Music University in Bucharest (drums and percussion jazz section)
