The series begins three months after Gary and Allison Brooks officially divorced. They have two teenagers: Tom, a shy 14-year-old, and Louise, a precocious girl who keeps photos of
Gandhi ,Al Gore andChe Guevera on her bedroom walls. In the pilot, Gary starts dating a young single mom, Vanessa Flood, while Allison reveals that she's engaged to their former marriage counselor, Dr. Walter Krandall. Tom begins a romance of his own when he invites a girl over for the first time. The three couples move forward uncertainly (except Louise, who loves Al Gore).Weekly Ratings
