Joe Jordan(Michael Joseph Jordan)(born July 27, 1978)in Pikeville, KY. Jordan is a American mixed martial arts fighter. He competes in the Welterweight division. He won his last fight at EC 90 - Extreme Challenge 90 against David Echevarria on February 29, 2008.

Jordan was born into a middle class coal mining family in eastern KY. His mother was a homemaker and his step father owned a trucking compay that hauled coal out of the mountains. Jordan never knew his fater,Thomas Jordan.

As a child,Jordan would spend most of his free time playing with has younger brother Sammy in the mountians. At age 5, he started playing basketball (as most kids do in KY) and training in Gymnastics. He would play organize basketball from age 5 to 11. The summer Joe turned 12, his younger brother Sammy was hit and killed by a car. His mother and step father divorced after Joe was neary killed by knife while trying to stop his mother and step fater from fighting. Jordan was sent to live with family abroad and would end up living in Ohio.
