He has been tutored and groomed by Rabin Ghosh, disciple of
Ustad Alauddin Khan in strict discipline and perfect style of Ustad Alauddin Khan Seni Veenkar Gharana ofMaihar and Rampur for over nineteen years. Apratim's study in Music under Rabin Ghosh is still continuing uninterruptedly. Apratim also received training for a period of three years from Shree Partho Sarothy, disciple of Ustad Dhyanesh Khan and Pt. Ravishankar.Performances
