Michael Dodge is the first law school graduate to receive a space law certificate in the United States.
Dodge graduated from the

Dodge's undergraduate studies were completed at the
University of Southern Mississippi (USM), where he earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences, and a B.A. in Philosophy and Religion. He also completed the unique curriculum requirements for USM’s Honors College.Michael chose to study law after gradation from USM, and he was accepted to the University of Mississippi School of Law. His strong interest in science and technology led to a keen interest in intellectual property and other specialized areas of law. Specifically, Michael was attracted to the concept of law governing outer space, and so he began to work closely with the National Center for Remote Sensing, Air, and Space Law shortly after beginning his legal studies.
