- Ferhat Ozcep
Ferhat Ozcep is a Turkish geophysicist and historian of science.
Biography
Ozcep was born in
Zonguldak on January 23, 1968. He received the B.Sc. degree inGeophysical Engineering fromIstanbul University in 1991 and the Pre-Bachelor’s (Associate’s) degree in Electrical Engineering Technician Program fromHacettepe University in 1992. He has got his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in 1994 and 1999 respectively on Geophysics from the Istanbul University. Between 1992 and 2004 years, he was a Research Assistant in Department of Geophysical Engineering at Istanbul University. At the present, he is a assistant professor at Istanbul University. He was selected as a Member of History of Geophysics Committee,American Geophysical Union for the term 1 July 2002 to 30 June 2004. He is a member of American Geophysical Union,European Geosciences Union , Deutsche Geophysikalische Geselschaft (German Geophysical Society ),American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), The Chamber of Geophysical Engineers of Turkey, and Turkish Society for History of Science.Books
